The Shell Owners Club - Hawaii is a system
where you purchase "points" in a Club.
Every year your account is
credited with the number of points that you own. You then
use these points
within the Shell System to stay at the Resorts within the Shell System.
You can
also use these points for flights, renting cars, going on cruises, and a litany
of
other things that the developer is continuously adding to.
A very simple example would be where one
purchases so many points, let's say 6,750
points. This 6,750 points will be
enough points to stay for a full week in a Two Bedroom
Ocean View unit at the
Kauai Coast Resort during the most prime times of the year.
This should also be
enough points for you to stay in almost any of the Resorts in the
Shell Owners
Club - Hawaii for a full week, in a two bedroom. Since Hawaii is such a
prime location to own, this 6,750 points should get you a week stay in a two
bedroom
at almost any of the properties that Shell is associated with. Shell is
in the process of
affiliating with many Resorts to add benefits to it's
membership. Shell has some type
of affiliation or ownership in at least 5
Resorts in Hawaii, at least 3 Resorts in Arizona,
at least 4 Resorts in
California and at least 1 Resort in Canada.
In Shell's Club, there are two different kinds of
points. One type of point is called
"permanent" which means that it
will last for as long as the Club lasts, which may be
forever. The other type of
point is called "standard" which has an end date after thirty,
or
more, years. So, the standard points are inferior to the permanent points and
therefore
should be less valuable.
As in most things, there are both pro's and
con's to the Shell Owners
Club. That is where
we come in to assist you. This Club may be perfect for you,
and then, maybe it's not.
